Perhaps I only speak for myself, but when you come to a Panasonic 60/80 thread you should probably expect that most people will recommend the Panasonic hands down. If for no other reason than the fact that we are protective of our purchase decision. I have a 605 (Costco Version of the 60), it's my first Blu-Ray player so I have nothing to compare it to hands on. But I have been ecstatic with the PQ/SQ, it's operation, and other features. Even the handful of quick freezes I've had since May have not dampened my enthusiasm and hopefully the latest FW update addresses this. It's played everyone of the BR 70+ discs I've put in it without the slightest problem even though most of them were rentals or from the local library (and not in the greatest condition). I don't watch a lot of SD DVD's anymore, but the upconversion on "The Incredibles" the other night even impressed my usually "I can't see the difference" wife. Netflix and other streaming features are not important to me at this point, but the Panny has Amazon and the potential to add more. This is just an excellent machine, especially at the current price point.
