Yamaha YSP-3000, iPod dock and Headset Headache

Hi,

I just finished installing my YSP-3000 to my Pioneer Plasma TV. I am a little dispointed by the sound but hey, it will do the job.

The biggest motivators for my purchase was to attain the following goals:

1. Better sound that the basic TV speakers without installin a full 5.1 system - this was accomplished
2. Good aesthetics - Yes
3. Connect my iPod(s) - Yes
4. Listen to movies with my Senheiser wireless headset - This will only work if I turn the YSP off. My headset base is connected to my TV's audio output
5. Listen to my iPod while I work out using my headset - Okay here is where my plan crashes and burns

I have gone thru all the documentation on the YSP and cannot figure out why I cant make this work (item 5 of course). I would like to actually connect my Senheiser headset base to the YSP but there are no audio outputs (that I can find). If I leave my base connected to my TV's line-level audio output, there is no sound because it apears that when the YSP is on, the HDMI port does NOT pass thru any audio. Although this sounds like a great thing, in my case it is not.

So, is there any way to keep the HDMI audio portion of the signal always on? Can the iPod audio actually pass thru audio via HDMI?

If anyone can help me, that would be great. I am kind of getting frustrated and listening to the iPod with my headset is really not an option, I work out way before the kids are up. This was supposed to be an improvement over my current setup. So far, it is not.

Thx

BR
