Here's a story on Todd MacCulloch, ex pro basketball player, and his collection/game room.

Didn't have the time to click on the link. Don't need to see some ex-sports puke's possessions - instead, tell us what's in your collection.

We know people or know of them with warehouse sized collections.

In our younger days over half of our house was dedicated to arcade games - pins (EMs and SolidState), multiple shuffle alleys and arcade games and, of course, the elephant in the room - pool table.

Now we are older, slower and have downsized so we have only four pins - TZ, MB, NGG and FT plus the Tournament Tornado foos and Cougar darts.

Okay - that's what we have in our "collection".

Imjay, you sound bitter in that you do not have as many games as Todd MacCulloch. If I had the room I would have many more games than the 15 pins I already have.

It is interesting to see someone like Todd who realizes that these games are collectable, and has a large collection to enjoy.

IMO Pinball machine collecting is in its infancy.
I had the pleasure of visiting a fellow in Paris who had a private museum full of wood-rail machines. Probably 200. Each in perfect restored condition. He used to be the distributor for several manufacturers back in the day when pinball was king.
I cant think of a more fun hobby than pinball collecting and cost effective as well. Each machine has its own "soul". And if you choose wisely you get all your money back when selling; A free hobby.

A three or four game collection is plenty and reasonable but there are us addicts that can never have enough.

The CEO of my small company wanted to get a pinball machine for his kids for Christmas, so he of course asked me to help him.

I found a good price on a Shaq machine that was in very good shape. He and his kids like it very much.

The cool thing is that he can either keep the machine, or sell it in a year or two and get back pretty much what he spent on it. So as a hobby, pinball collecting is not a "money pit" like some other hobbies...
