HTPC cards? HDMI in?

Is there an HTPC card that has several HDMI and componant inputs? The theory is that I could ditch my reciever and use my htpc for all the processing. Is this possible?
Could it upscale the HDMI in to 1080p?

I've never heard of a PC component that can take HDMI/component in and act as a receiver. A HTPC is more like a player and not a receiver.

I never heard of it either, that is why I was checking. It has been almost two years since I fully read up on HTPCs, I was hoping something changed for the better. This is a product I would pay for.

Isn't MSI making a board that has an audio amplifier inside to essentially get rid of the receiver?

It's already out and there's a thread on it. However, I believe it can only take 1 optical input and that's about it.

Yeah, w/o HDMI switching even with the amplifier built into the MSI Media Live DIVA HTPC I couldn't get rid of my amp because I need to amp for the other sources (like the Cable STB). Too bad, it was very compelling.
