Merry Christmas all...
Been spending the last week up here in Canada (Minnesota North), and after a productive planning session (floorplanning for basement) with my Dad, I finally have some semi-concrete plans to start aiming towards.
Most of these are just back of napkin sketches (no dimensions, etc.) just rough SWAG's at what my space could support.
The big breakthrough came when we both realized that what I need to build my basement around.......
......is a WORKSHOP!
Why? For some reason, I seem to accumulate tools (and wood)... I don't ask for them, I just seem to get them...
Off the top of my head I have:
1. compressor + brad nailer + hardwood floor nailer + 29 piece pneumatic toolset.
3. Chop saw
5. 2x circular saw
6. Tile saw
7. 3 x drills
8. 2 x shopvacs
9. tons of hand tools.
10. Oceans of various sundry bits and bobs, most for woodworking, some for electrical, plumbing, tiling, etc.
These are overflowing my basement space at this point. Shelves I build get stuffed, with no organization... The workshop has to be a first priority or I will literally have no space to work in.
So... Hanes, I guess it can now be said I have a plan. How long it will take for me to get started on said plan is another question...
And yes, I will start a build/planning thread of my own
just figured I'd post here first since your public flogging earlier started me down this path.
(For those that are curious, the plan will actually have something of home theatre relevance in it is as well, but that part is WAY down the road). As I mentioned earlier, I'll start a planning/build thread for your review/muck-raking/public humilation when I get some of these ideas down digitally.
