It appears I have created a monster here - or a bunch of monsters! Updates?! Progress?! What the hell have some of you people been smoking?!?!

Hundreds upon hundreds of AVSForum build threads documenting actual, honest-to-goodness BUILDING, and yous all end up
here - of all places! - looking for more of the same?! Have you forgotten which thread you're posting in?!

Didn't any of your parents teach you that you can't get water from a stone, or blood from a turnip!?
All right, I can see I'll need to once again placate the riff raff here again with my semi-annual post wherein I don't really tell you anything except for the fact that you all need some professional help for continually coming back here for more. Ergo, time for another counseling session with ...

Pink Freud!
I know, piss poor pun, but I'm done apologizing to you lot, as your standards are obviously below measurement (and contempt) if you are still here reading this! You have only yourself to blame really!
OK, tough times call for tough measures, so I actually was foolish enough to subject myself to the pain of going back quite a ways into this sorry excuse of a thread to see what the last real update might have been.
Man. That was painful!

Who knew that AlGore had even
invented the interweb back in the early Middle Ages when I last included some photos on pseudo progress involving remotes and an almost finished equipment closet. Thereafter, only useful
non-build posts exchanging insults with my handful of "enlightened" readers i.e. you crazy bastards (yes you - you know who I'm talkin' about!)

Now most people might conclude from such a track record that I haven't been doing squat for a long time. But that would be inaccurate. Really.
I haven't been doing squat for a really, REALLY
REALLY long time. So there! Please make a note of that for future reference. There will be a test on this stuff.
Actually, this extensive research revealed the startling discovery that - apparently at some point in the past decade - I actually upgraded my screen from a super High Definition, state-of-the-art sheet to a painted wall!
I will pause here for a moment to allow my dear readers to catch their collective breath and retrieve their proverbial jaws from off the ground.
< Pregnant Pause>
Welcome back.
No doubt, this incredible development will inevitably lead to multiple offers to showcase my HT build in one of these high class HT magazines I hear about from other folks here who, ostensibly, have actually
completed their theaters (curses on you and your descendants yea, verily, even unto the 7th generation of the 7th generation!)
Where was I again?

Ah, yes, so here is my bi-annual "progress" shots of this radical, cutting edge screen transformation.
Original HD sheet:

Obligatory blue tape shot:

Painted screen after the first coat of paint:

Shot of the finished screen:

reserved for future picture of finished screen, which I will someday get around to taking a picture of, just as soon as I manage to take a long overdue and well deserved break from movie watching, and remember where I left my bloody camera>
And you lot thought I hadn't accomplished
anything in the past year or so!
HA! Guess I
TOTALLY showed
YOU!

Still, amazingly, my bride (who is apparently never satisfied) has begun dropping subtle hints asking if I think the room might *possibly* be finished some time before all our kids move out and give us grandchildren, but I'm sure I satisfied her with a very clever, original quip about patience being a virtue. Not sure she completely "got" my brilliant wit there, though, as her response sounded something like this:

Silly woman!
Obviously she needs, like me, to evolve zen-like to a higher level of consciousness than mere patience:

Thus endeth this year's dramatic update.
Be sure to stay tuned for next year's episode when, rumor has it, somebody might actually do something somewhere somehow sometime.
Or not.
Until then, I'll be giving up HT construction for Lent, as I really need to take a break from all this building activity, and perhaps watch a movie or two. Or three.
