good news indeed! The one and only item the wife has insisted on after seeing it on the news one night was that the new tv had to have Yahoo Widgets, glad to see those sets are finally starting to appear (and at a reasonable price no less)

Is there an upgraded version of this display featuring dcdi processor? There is a rumor going around. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Has Samsung said anything about a b760 series plasma Tv in the USA ???? What is a DCDI processor ???

So you're kicking the 55" lcd to the curb? How do the black levels compare to the G10 and Samsung LED from what you have seen so far?

Chris, more than likely the sharpness or edge enhancement causes what you you. Instead of the default "50", mine is set at 36.

As for those pics, they show awesome black levels which also confirms what Samsung has said and what I've also seen.

When I had my 550 I always thought if Samsung could drop the black levels, it would be a poor mans Kuro Elite. I'm wondering if that day has come.

Chris, does this have the 96Hz Cinema Smooth feature? Or is that only in the 6 series and up?

Film Mode
The TV can be set to automatically sense and process film signals from all sources and adjust the picture for optimum quality.
Off: Basic video image processing applied and No auto-detection for film-based programs.
Auto: Automatically adjusts for the best image quality between film and video programs.
Cinema Smooth: Cinema Smooth reproduces film cinema video with greatly reduced or without visible motion judder, as you see it in the movie theater. (PN50B560T5F/PN58B560T5F/PN63B590T5F only)
Only if HDMI 1080p 24Hz signal is input, Cinema Smooth function is activated and you can set ON/OFF.
Film mode is supported in TV, Video, Component (480i / 1080i) and HDMI (1080i).

So what model is the PN63B590T5F ? I'm gathering that it is not the PN63B550 ? When will it be available?

Not questioning you, but why would the manual say otherwise? Are they coming out later? Is this something you could find out for us?

What's the MSRP on this set? Also do the blacks match or surpass the 12G Pannys?
