I can get either reciever for the same price $1500.00. My other components are Pro-Ject MKIII turntable with Graham Slee phono stage and Pro-Ject speed box, HD Satellite STB, Nakamichi CD PLayer, and a soon to be replaced Toshiba HD DVD player. All speakers are Quad including 22L2 fronts, Quad Center, Quad 11L rears and Quad L series Sub.
I had the Marantz SR5002 and liked it but have always wanted an Arcam to try. Now I have the opportunity to either stick with Marantz or try an Arcam. My listening is about 70% music and 30% Movies/TV.
I am also open to suggestions for a replacement DVD player as I will be getting a Blu Ray player.
