I love my Pioneer Elite PRO-510HD but the glare has become unbearable as it has been moved into a different home with much different lighting conditions. I have done all I can with the windows, lightbulb wattage, etc... I am a complete new guy to doing anything with TV except watching it, although I know a lot about setting up home theaters and computers and blah blah blah. No modifications have been made to the TV and the original remote is broken so I can't really change the contrast or anything. Please help!!!!! I don't know what to do!!!!!

Take off the acrylic shield. The glare will disappear immediately.

You can find out how to do it in the owners manual. It takes only a few minutes.

How do you download the files you linked on that "mediafire" site?? As far as I can tell you have to sign up for a membership before you can DOWNLOAD any files -- which is ridiculous. It that right??

If so, I'd encourage you to look for an alternative. I never want to give my email address or other personal info to a site that is pushing malware and other things ("free windows scan" is a classic trojan).

It was the first site I found to upload pdfs to... Well I just loged out of my account there and clicked the "Click here to start download.." text in the yellow box. A popup or 2 comes up and the "save or open" for the pdf pops up aswell just close the other popups and get the pdf for either or both manuals you want. If that dosent work somhow I can give you them another way.

I used an old yahoo email I rarely use when registed there as I dont like listing my main email anywhere aswell, Thought you might try that if you need to but it should work anyway its just a simple qick pdf downlaod.
