i was really thinking of the Creek during the night
i ll have to check it, cause it would be annoying.
just looked a beautiful and well done piece.
on the other hand, $250 and built in 2003... there might have been improvements or hardware got cheaper since 2003. Don t know.
If it is noisy... humpf.
Thanks for your link.
As for the measurements, are you telling me that i don t have to follow the specs?
Cause the NAD should be good, shouldn't it? but as for its specs, it s a bit poor. (it s also only 90$)
Though i like the MM/MC switch.
The ZPhono: "Stereophile's Michael Fremer praises the Zphono for making "an impressive showing for a budget-priced phono preamp: similar to the NAD PP-2's overall performance, but with more extension, air, and sparkle on top." According to Fremer, "The overall picture had a pleasing clarity and rhythmic organization. Cymbals rang cleanly and with more metallic edge than through the PP-2, and, overall, there was more 'air'."
"Parasound products cannot be shipped outside the USA."
It's nothing about shipping costs. I think it s more the "120V output"... aaargh. so it's not possible to make it work in Europe.
As for the NAD pp-2 ,avail. at hifix.co.uk, here's their response:
sorry we only ship inside the uk"
For the noises, I read amny people having noise problems with their phono amps. Some ground related thing I guess. Any feedback?
Thanks anyway for your time, i ll have to keep looking.
