In the bedroom...

Well, now that I've graduated from college with a valuable history degree, I do what everyone else does --- move back home! At least I'm in another school, going for another degree, anyway, this means everything that was once in my apartment is stuffed into my bedroom!.. I'll be moving to San Jose soon (I hope!), so I'll get to put the speakers back on the stands and spread'm out a bit more...

Ummm I think the maker of your map got a little confused....I think its generally accepted that North America really is in the norther hemisphere! seriously...whats up with that map?

Great setup...specially for a college kid. Classy and clean...most kids i went to college with went for the grungy and gross look.

Sweet PC...although im and AMD/ATI guy myself.

That's the first thing i noticed.. the world map seems to be upside down though the lettering on it is the right way up.

Very nice and clean looking setup (college student or not). Wish i had something like that when i was studying

You can find many maps from Australia that are oreinted with the south upwards.

Nice setup. What to you think of the take classic?

Pretty cool map, eh? It's for us northern hemisphere elitists, just a different perspective on things, our maps could just as easily be oriented with Australia on top, if the aboriginals had gone on to colonize the world.

Anywho, thanks, yeah, I'm a bit OCD, my apartment was always clean... I'd be cleaning up before the party was even over down in Santa Barbara. You'd never have known there was a party, except for me and the toilet.

The Take Classics are wonderful, in my opinion. They were preceded by Infinity TSS-450s, and the Classics are easily superior, I notice that the midrange is much fuller, and dialog when watching a movie isn't nearly so tinny, and the TSS-450s are wonderful speakers in their own right.

I got them for 250 at circuit city a few days before they closed, couldn't resist some new speakers for so cheap! My sister is quite thrilled with her new Infinitys, as a result.

...AMD, I've had a few, I'm not loyal to either brand, I go back and forth, depending on who's winning, and Intel has this round... although I hear that ATI's new cards kick Nvidia's butt...

Im not really that loyal to one brand or the other...ive just had good experiences with amd/ati so ive stuck with them. ...my very first 1ghz processor was amd...so...id feel like it was cheating on a first love if i went with intel.

First computer I built had a 900mhz AMD Thunderbird processor, and a Radeon 7800pro with 64/mb! Ahhhh, it was amazing...

A few changes...

Got a new Dell XPS all-in-one, between law school and buying a condo, I decided the never ending series of upgrading just wasn't financially feasible... That and I have no time to play, anymore. Pretty svelte looking machine, too...

Connected my Razor Mako speakers, they sound great, although I fully realize the subwoofer doesn't sound good sitting on top of the other subwoofer, but I have some space constraints.

Picked up a bluetooth keyboard and charging station for the controllers, rather conveniant, keeps all the peripherals for the PS3 charged. I'd say that 30 dollar charger is the best tech purchase I've made in a while, funny how the things you get the most use out of always seem to be the cheapest...

Anyway, I need to get a permanent marker to the TV stand, those scratches really stand out with the flash on... Well, I should probably get back to studying for my final...

Oh, and here's the setup in the living room:

-46" Sony LCD, 720p, but the couch is so far back, I don't think you can notice, actually a pretty nice LCD for being about 3 or 4 years old now.
-Samsung Blu-Ray with Netflix and Pandora streaming
-Ghetto Phillips receiver, think that's the next upgrade
-Infinity TSS-450 surround speakers

I also discovered that the TV sits in roughly the center of the house, good spot for the wireless router, actually...
