closed caption over hdmi link kuro 5020

I hooked up cable box to my KURO 5020 over HDMI link, but TV does not offer
any options for CC on TOOLS menu. Does CC work over HDMI on KUROs or it is just a cable box configuarition? Video/Audio works as 1080i/DTS with no problem.

do you think cable box posts capbilities over HDMI to TV and that is why the TOOLS menu does not offer CC at all?
