I here you on that. Especially when the dude is a complete stranger and offering zero references.

Thanks for posting the pic. It looks real enough to me and I'll be adding it to the list. I wonder what the story is behind this disc. I noticed the case feet, so they did use the old cases that WB and Universal used in the early days.

Yeah I'm still around. I'm not as up to the minute regarding the Blu-ray exclusives as I used to be, since only about 20 or so are coming out in a year. But I'll update the list in a couple of days.

Also regarding the new HD DVD "home brew" titles that are coming out on DVD-r or HD DVD-r, I'm thinking about making a separate list for those, since they are just burned titles that anyone can do, and that come out well after the format died. At this point, I don't think they should be included with the other titles and counted as such. What do you guys think?

Ya keep the new ones separate. I know I won't be buying any crap upscaled movies burned on DVD-R just because they will only play in a HD DVD player. Makes no sense to me. Should of kept it as DVD so it would play on all machines.

What about, The Getaway 1994?

Edit: I guess there was one dual pack 1972/1994 Canadian release with it. But if it won't play in a Region 1 player, I don't think it should be off the list. There's quite a few that aren't on Blu ray for US yet.

For HD DVD-R's no those shouldn't be included, I've got a bunch of blanks that I plan on releasing in 2030, so I can claim that the format is still alive and well.

Canadian Releases will work on Region 1 players.

Right, but there's a few that come to mind: region B like P2 and Elephant Man, locked at region B, there may be others. Coming from US, I wouldn't care if it was released in Region B, if I can't play it anyway. I could rip it, but I'd still have to pay extra to have it shipped plus time.

Getting back to The Getaway, I'm going to argue and say this was never released in Canada. I've yet to see any info about it other than what's posted at Blu ray.com. No UPC info is available nor are any copies available to buy anywhere. I'm wondering if this was announced but never released and the info got added to Bluray.com. Unless someone can provide pics and UPC code, I'd say it was never released on Blu ray in any region.
