Audio speakers to RCA?

Hello I recently purchased a Pioneer Elite SC-07.

I am currently in the middle of setting up a new zone for the kitchens audio.

The other channels on the back of the receiver seem to have RCA connections. My question is how can I connect the RCA to the 2 audio speakers?

You need to connect to an amplifier (using RCA cables), and then connect the speakers to the amplifier.

Ahh ok great thanks. Is there a recommended amplifier that is cheap for this kind of setup? I will have 2 extra zones in the house so I would need an amplifier that can connect 2 seperate RCA cables to 2 seperate zoners.

I would assumer I just need a passthrough nothing fancy since I'm guessing the Pioneer does most of the work.

Two of these might work ( there are other lower powered amps in this similar price range ) -

Thanks,

is there no way to just buy 1 of those instead of 2? It seems like it can handle to different input and 4 speakers (Unless it cannot stream from 2 different sources simultanously.)

I know of no cheap 4-channel amplifiers, sorry. You might need to google.

Thanks everyone. Isn't there some sort of Passthrough solution?

I don't like the idea of playing with the sound through different component. I'd rather have the Pioneer do all of the processing work in all the seperate channels.

At this point I was going to install 4X50w (8-ohm) in-wall speakers (2 in kitchen, 2 on patio) from mono price. Thosel ittle amps seem to only support 15W (and the other Pyle PTA2 on the link can only support 2X40w).

I am someone failry new with sound receivers and watts with Ohms, so I may be missing the point here, and I don't know the comparison of a 8-ohm, 4-ohm speakers and what it can deliver (including the watts). So if some of you reading this and saying he just doesn't get it... please shed some light

Look into 70v systems. It's a way to use multiple speakers long distances from an amp.

Hi,

The two speakers that you have in your kitchen can be power by the SC-07.
Just use the rear surround speaker's connectors, and configure your SC-07 to powered these in your kitchen as zone 2.
And when you are listening in your main room, reconfigure the setup in your SC-07 to give you the full 7.1-channel configuration, but you will have to switch the speaker cables, unless you can do with a 5.1 setup. Quite simple indeed.
You just need 2 speaker cables going to the speakers in your kitchen.

You don't even need the RCA jaks to do that. They are more to add external amps in your other zones. If you prefer to go that route, just use one of your old receiver or amp to connect to the RCA out jacks (Left & Right channels) from the Zone 2 output in the rear of your SC-07 to the amp in your kitchen, and the two speakers in your kitchen connected to that amp. (If your extra amp does not have "main in" in the rear, just use one the inputs from any source, if it is an extra receiver or an integrate amp.
Check in the manual of the SC-07 for the adjustment in the setup menu.
