Who ordered theres from Sound Distributors? How long does it take?

I did through their ebay page. I'm on the east coast and it should be a week exactly.

I did as well,it shipped out last friday and I just tracked it and its already departed from El Paso,Tx.So hopefully ill get it sooner than Thursday.

Mine is also coming out to exactly a week if it does indeed arrive on Thursday. Southeast.

Ok, I just got mine all hooked up and watched a few loud scenes in Cloverfield and I must say, this sub sounds incredible. I didn't even push it that hard and it was shaking things in my room.

I do have a few questions though. 1) would I get more output if I used a splitter on my two sub outputs on my receiver? 2) What does everyone have their phase set to? 3) When the toggle switch is set to off, does your red light still stay on?

Hey is it possible you can make a little audio or video of the sound when its playing g music so i can get a feel of how it sounds? did you get it from Eric?

I don't use my sub for music, plus how would a video/audio clip do it any justice? You have to actually hear the thing live to get a feel for it.

I did not get my sub from Erc at Sound Distributors, I got mine from Mike at Acoustic Sound Design, it's the smae company though. I believe Mike and Eric are brothers.

Good point how long did it take to get it? Do you mind trying some music on there see how it sounds?

1)no, that depends on the subs amp, receiver just sends a signal. 2) It depends on what sounds best in your room, test both out. 3) It should to indicate off but with power reaching it.

Took me a week to get it. I just tried a CD for you and it sounds real good as far as I can tell. But like I said I'm no music expert so keep that in mind.

is the bass strong with music

Not much bass in a Martina McBride CD.

I too am interested in either the H-100 or PL-200. I have enjoyed reading this thread and thank everyone for their generousity in supplying information and opinions. Obviously, everyone seems quite happy with both of these subs ability to supply a great home theater experience. But, how do they perform for music applications? Do they provide clear base without a monotone-thumpy distortion? I'm looking for a sub that will extend some clean bass into my music listening, as well as provide me with the low frequency effects for movies. Will these subs do both jobs? Thanks for any input and thoughts you may have.

No way that has nice amount of bass to it!! Im surprised it didnt sound that loud. Is there another subwoofer your recommend for the 200-270 budget good for music?

I didn't crank it all the way up. I do have neighbors downstairs. After all, I thought you already ordered the PL-200? Why are you still asking for alternatives?

To be honest I didnt yet but I did infact choose it over the F12 like that was it BUT then I started to read more and noticed that it was more for HT not music... Now I ran Into ESW-C10 Subwoofer How is this subwoofer?

I listen to music probably 80% of the time.

Maybe they don't use their subs for music as much as you do. Oh and yes it is annoying. I can't wait until you decide on a sub. I thought you already have but here were are once again.

Sam, why don't you give the people at BIC America a call and see which of their subs would be more suited for music. I'm sure they'll steer you in the correct direction.

Some old guy works there seems like he dont know anything about subwoofer. Supposedly it does not have the "lows" as some other musical subwoofer do. HSU STF2 would be a good example of a musical subwoofer because it has great lows. Also a high price tag.

So you called and asked him what BIC sub is best for music? Just because he's old doesn't mean he doesn't know about modern things.

I read several threads, they mentioned Energy ESW-V8 or V10 is better for music, you can check it out.

Actually I called and ask whats the difference between Pl 200 and the F12(called 3 days ago) he said "ooo there all the same" I was like one is 150watts VS 250watts and hes like"thats all a gimmick they all sound the same" So at that point I kindly ended the call lol.

Yes I been looking at the V8 kind of small though. The V10 is better but its to expensive. The HSU STF 2 is the best bet just 349 is pushing it.

The general way is to listen to some bass and have someone toggle phase up and down as u stay in listening position, it wont harm it.
