I have been looking for months for an universal remote control like PRONTO but cheap, so not like PRONTO, easy to configure and to use, so not like PRONTO.
I finally found a solution to drive my home cinema devices. I bought an eee Top from ASUS and then downloaded HC-SKIPPER.
One of the great advantage of it is thas the screen displays 3 virtual remote controls at the same time. One for the output device, one for the input device and the last one for the amplifier. It has many options. The one that I particularly appreciate is the security module that prevent your chidren to reconfigure your remotes !
