What are your most viewed blu-rays?

Thread Starter
Hey folks. I want to start this off by saying that, though I rarely post here, I have been a member for some time, and I post regularly on the forums at highdefdigest.com, which I was initially attracted to because of HD DVD and now blu-ray. In any case, I have a similar thread running on HDD, which you can view at the following link:

http://forums.highdefdigest.com/blu-...-blu-rays.html

In any case, the responses there have been great but I need to get as much info as possible so I'm expanding to avsforum. As the title suggests, I'd like to know what your top 5 (or more) most viewed blu-ray discs are, especially if you are using a PS3. Here are my tops:

WALL·E
The Dark Knight
Big Fish
Cloverfield
Forgetting Sarah Marshall

and if I didn't have these on HD DVD, they would surely be on constant cycle in my PS3:

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
The Bourne Trilogy
Purple Rain
Children Of Men

Casino Royale
Crank
First Blood
The Simpsons Movie

Too bad Army of Darkness and Shaun of the Dead aren't available on Blu-ray. I watch those two combined on HD DVD more than I do those five combined on Blu-ray.

I don't have a PS3, but my most-watched BDs (in roughly descending order) are:

Blade Runner
The Third Man
Ratatouille
Kill Bill

nice list... I could rotate those easily as well.

"Most viewed" would heavily bias TV shows like Damages, South Park, Rescue Me and Prison Break, since I've gone back many times to watch each episode.

As for other content, The Godfather, Within Temptation: Black Symphony, Assault on Precinct 13, Casino Royale and Heathers come to mind as getting more viewings than others.

Iron Man is a great intro Bluray for first timers, I use it to show off the speakers and tv to friends who haven't seen Blu yet.

Hellboy 2 is fantastic pq/aq and very rewatchable.

Futurama: Benders game is awesome (especially for all my nerd/gaming friends.)

Repo: The Genetic Opera is just awesome personified... or filmified. Whatever.

And maybe The Dark Knight and Casino Royale.

My once or twice a year BD's are

Blade Runner TFC
2001 A Space Odyssey
Planet Earth (various episodes)
The Fifth Element
28 Days Later
Sunshine (new addition but will be watched many times)

Lately, Body of Lies has gotten an oddly large amount of replay.

Other than that, I use Planet Earth as 'background' viewing when I'm working on the computer.

The pattern I see in this is heavy bass movies. I know KFP has it, I watch it all the time, especially Skidoosh!

I have seen Hulk, and that definately is bass heavy.

Cars has decent bass too. I haven't seen Ice Age, I guess I will now.

Anyhow, the movies I have watched the most

1. Kung Fu Panda
2. Iron Man
3. Dark Knight
4. Hairspray - which has good bass in musical sequences
5. Sweeney Todd - another musical with cool bass.

I will be getting soon, Wall-E, The day the earth stood still, War of the Worlds.

For 10 times was No Country for Old Man,just bought 2 discs new version.Another favorite were TDK,Iron Man,CS,QoS and Burn after reading.

Lately it's been the Bond series. Dr No, From Russia with love, Goldfinger.....
They have phenomenal PQ for their age and I've been going through all the Special features. However, My wife says if she hears the Bond theme song again she's going to go nut's (LOL).
Out of 75 BD's, the only one I've watched more than once (so far) is Cars.
No PS3, just Panasonic BD30(bedroom) and BD55(living room).

In no order:

Close Encounters of the Third Kind
Blade Runner
When We Left Earth
Hellboy II
Led Zeppelin - The Song Remains The Same

One of the reasons these particular titles get a lot of play is because I usually have one of them playing while I'm painting or working late at night and they fill the bill as background "noise." Plus, they're among my favorite movies.

Not too proud to admit this, but of the 372 blu-ray and 166 HD DVDs that I own, Hairspray is by far and away - not even in the same ballpark - the most watched movie. My wife and kids like the music and she puts it on all the time.
