man, I miss The State!!!!

I thought the second episode was a lot funnier than the pilot. The uncomfortable meeting, walking in on her fellow workers playing Rock Band, and Tom were all highlights for me.

I stopped halfway through the episode. Deleted my series recording.

On a positive note, it is slightly funnier than Cavemen.

YEP I did the same...watched one episode since I'm an OFFICE fan....the most boring sitcom episode EVER!EVERRR!!!

Only lasted 3 minutes for Cavemen!

We gave it two episodes - not awful, just not good enough for us to try any more.

Sick to death of the talking into the camera crap. Sick of it on The Office, sick of it here. Lame writing. Lame acting. Removed from DVR record list.

Oh, I don't know. It's better than Carpoolers.

I'm up for watching at least the second episode this evening, even after not finding the first episode all that funny. But, being a City Planner, I appreciate at least someone on T.V. representing our profession even if it is only satire. Being a City Planner in a small town is not really all that much fun so at least the character playing the role is close to real life!

Probably right but I watched because I liked Marmaduke Brooker (TJ Miller), the son of Faith Ford. He was hysterical on Carpoolers.

Second episode was as lame as the first. For me, this show has one more episode. If it's lame, I'm taking it off my DVR list.

I should've said,"worst I've ever seen!" 20 minutes viewing time thx to my DVR was 20 minutes too long.

I actually like the show, I suppose it's because I can relate to it (I'm always going to public meetings and things of this nature)

I do not think the main character is a Mike Scott clone. Scott is the Ultimate Gladhander whereas the Parks & Rec lady is a True Believer. Mike wants you to like him. Leslie Knope knows you love her, but you are afraid to admit it, but someday you will.

I missed the premiere, but watched a recording of the second show yesterday and enjoyed it. Don't understand the hyper-criticism in this thread. Jeebus, is it any wonder why studio execs yank shows so quickly?!

This show is essentially the Office moved into the public sector. The format and the humor are identical but with fewer interesting characters.

I was a 'basher' after the first week. But, I thought the second episode was MUCH better than the first. I'll give it another week. If I keep seeing improvement (or, adjust to the humor), I'll keep watching.

I don't know about the rest of you, but it took me about 3 episodes before The Office clicked with me. I needed some familiarity with the characters, and I disagree with scowl, I think there's potential for the characters on this show. Quite frankly, there's not a lot to choose from when it comes to sitcoms on Network TV. I'm more than happy to give this show a chance.

Watched the pilot last night - hated the show. Killed the series recording and deleted episode #2 w/o watching. Felt/Feel the same way about The Office. Not funny, not realistic, not well acted. The BBC version of The Office was classic British dry humor that only Ricky Gervais could pull off. These American knockoffs are just awful.

^ Yeah, the first ep. was "ehhh", and we quit watching after 10 minutes of the second ep., and canceled the series on the DVR. That's alright, Thursday is waaay busy for the DVR

Oh my God, that's it, I'm done 15 minutes into this episode. I gave it a shot, I think 4-1/2 episodes is more than enough. Find me a less funnier half-hour on TV. I dare you.

i watch parks and rec, the the office, and then 30 rock.

parks and rec, at best, is only mildly funny, but it did have a couple of
humorous scenes.

office has funnier material and is definitely better written.

however i still find 30 rock to be the funniest show on tv.

Yep, although last night I though The Office was every bit as terrible as the episode of Parks and Recreation.

I had to give up on this one. I like comedy. I like Poehler. I wanted it to be funny for me. But it's just not doing the job.

I think the show has picked up steam and is certainly in a better place than 30 Rock was in the same number of episodes.

Honestly, I'm liking this show and the Boy's Club ep was very funny. Can't understand folks who didn't think it was.

i'm really liking this show...Tom (Aziz Ansari) was intern Ed on Scrubs and was hysterical...i find him just as funny on P & R and am really liking the show. everyone needs to remember that The Office didn't really pick up steam until season 2 and it took 30 Rock ~6 episodes to find itself...the turning point for me was season 1, ep 6, "Jack Meets Dennis"...still my fav 30 Rock ep of all time (sans the Josh + Liz Taylor storyline).

i think P & R has real potential and then wife and i are hooked.
