I hope I am wrong but don't be surprised if your delivery is minus a tv which will be shipped later. I have searched the internet and seems that vanns is the only dealer who has the v10 in stock which seems odd. I too am anxiously waiting for these to come out but will wait and see how much they drop in price as the other panny ,models have. Good luck

YRC just updated the tracking # in their system - looks like my TV will arrive on the 19th (sooner than expected), same day as our DirecTV HD is installed.

Well maybe Vann's either a) has a contract with Panasonic to release them at this time, or b) someone broke the embargo and released them for sale early.

BTW I ordered the HTIB and other stuff on another order altogether.

in that case it sounds like you should soon be the proud owner of a v10. keep us informed. I hope to be right behind you with my order. I hope it doesn't have the buzzing probs that the g10 has. I'm picking it over the g10 mainly because of the cinema color mode and the pro settings adjustments that the g10 does not have...the thin design is nice but not a big deal one way or the other for me

Like you, it was the "pro settings" that had me over the G10 (Personally, I feel ALL Panasonic TVs should have it, not just the V10).

The other reasons why I personally chose it is because the 24p mode is actually usable and the swivel base.

ive got a hard on waiting for the 54 & 58 v10. anyone know what the prices will be for the 54 and 58?

I have been looking into a 50 inch Plasma for some time now.

Am now looking at the Pany V-10 and the full 1080 P Pro model.

Can someone please tell me the differences between them other than the Viera/monitor issues.
Monitor has no tuner,speakers Etc.

I do not need either of thse but I need quite few few imputes.
At least 4 HDMi, few component,standard RCA's Etc.

With the Pro model, I would have to get a scaller/multi imput box or other.

I have been told the Pro model's have much more flexibility in regards to callibration.

Would be helpful if you tell us what do you intend to do with the monitor. Just regular TV/Bluray/DVD viewing ? Are you a professional videographer ? Is the monitor/TV going to be on 24/7 ? Unless you really need a pro monitor I think a V10 is a great choice. With a pro monitor you have perhaps more accurate colors and gray scale but less features and twice the power consumption.

It is going to be our primary TV.

for Viewing TV/BR/PC images, and games and anything that comes along with 1080P.

My Son watches many BR's and has PS3 Etc.
He is waiting for full HD Wii to come out and might be adding X-Box with Full 1080P.

My instalation person is really pushing for the Pro Model.
Better and stronger glass,better claibration Etc.

But I am not exactly sure what he has in mind for all my hook up needs.

Will have my Sopn count them but I think they might be more than the averaage user needs.

Will definately be adding a home theather speaker set up and do not need a tuner unless I want to go with the best HD signal I can get over the air with anantenna.

But not even sure if I can even receive any signal.

I foregot that my ten year old Son was doing the math on 100,000 hours life expectence and determined that the TV would last 14 years.

In your shoes, I would go with a V10 or even a G10. Save your money , save energy, save the planet.

Excellent information.

Twice the power usage than the Pro.

That does seem significant.

But not needing the speakers/tuner is a waste as well.

Does not help the planet as much though.

Maybe I should just wait for the Solor model to come out or the Pany. Laser Tv.

Not worth the extra money for the more durable glass unless it is going in a gym or other professional application.

But it does seem to come down to calibration issues.

Can you please expalin the differences in regards to alignment/Cal. in both models?

I will be having whatever I purchase professionally calibrated.

I notice the 58V10 says available in June 09.

Yup... I cant find any dimensions on the 58 or owners manual.

They are all listed as June. So I wonder if Vann's really has this in stock. HEMI6point1 I really hope you get yours next week and can give it a good run down for us.

The 54V10 is definitely listed as having the one sheet of glass look concept. I just wish it was all black. I'm not a fan of silver on A/V components. Coming June 09 to a dealer near you, (hopefully).

Panasonic site says June. Does anybody know anything about the stand for the 65" ? The picture on Panasonic site seems to be the same for 50-65 models.

Well YRC called me today and told me it's on the truck and on its way to Florida as we speak. I'll be sure to give a mini-review and post some pics.

Well the horse's mouth says the TC-P65V10 will be available next month. Given it's the middle of May now, I'd imagine these sets must be boxed and ready to ship unless Panasonic is intentionally stating an earlier date than the actual planned release to generate buzz. Good news, because I'm looking for a replacement for my 60" SXRD and hoping the V10 might measure up as a worthy replacement, and didn't want to have to wait around till August or September. I don't need a wall-hanger and want nothing less than 60".

Im changing out a SXRD 60" as well Im tired of waiting for something bigger so the 65 will have to work. Are the Over dimmensions listed on here somewhere?

A I am waiting for this set also, I would like to think you are right. However, it has not been Panasonic's recent history to release the larger versions of their sets until late summer/early fall. My guess is that someone made a mistake on Panny's website.

You may very well be right. I see Cleveland Plasma posted yesterday up the thread that the big ones are coming out Aug/Sept, and as a dealer, I'd expect he has accurate information. Might be just an error by Panasonic lumping all the models on same page with the June release date.

The specs don't give overall width but the screen measurements are diagonal and it doesn't appear to have much of a bezel. If you have the XBR1 SXRD with the silver ears the Panny is certainly going to be narower and of course thinner because it's not an RP. Weighs 198 lbs. though. Ouch.
