Studio 20 should be one of the better B&M speakers for the money.

Are you saying you bought a single speaker? If so, what fronts were you trying to match it with?

They are great bookshelf speakers, and IMO are better then the B&W 685's

When I auditioned the Studio 20v.4 and the B&W 685, I clearly preferred the Studio 20s.
Relax, you've bought a great sounding bookshelf speaker.

I'm familar with both the B&W 685 and the Studio 20 V5 (also currently own a 10 V.5), I'd say relax. The Studio 20 is a very good speaker, you have should not have any regrets at all.

If you dont want them, just explain to the seller of your mistake.

I have auditioned both speakers recently and while they are not similar in price they are similar in design and performance. They are equal IMHO and it just depends on what kind of sound you like as to which will be better. The Paradigms are definitely warmer with more bass extension and the B&Ws are more detailed and quicker with more controlled bass. Aestetically I prefer the modern, clean, classy looks of the B&W. I am not a fan of the "blingy" busy looks of the Paradigm speakers, not that it matters much because Paradigm recommends the grills be left on. I actually prefer the looks of the less expensive Paradigm Monitor series over the studio line.

I waffled on which to get before deciding on floorstanders instead. I would have been happy with either one so I don't think you made a mistake.

I never heard that model B&W, but I own a pair of old standby, never sell Version 2 Studio 20's. As speakers have come and gone in my life, these have stayed the longest. I really don't know how the 4 series compares to the 2 series, (I would think an improvement) but Paradigm builds quality, great sounding speakers. One of the posters mentioned previously if you bought the 20's in error, contact the seller and explain your situation. Be careful with that "Left Click."

you can retract your bid, whats the big deal?. Just contact the seller and tell him whats up. Most are pretty reasonable.

Don't freak out. You can always sell the Paradigm speakers on audiogon, so you are not going to be out for the full purchase price if you don't like them. The Studio 20s are awesome speakers though - I don't think you will want to sell them.
