I might have stumbled across something that is close to the PB13 in size and performance here:

Pros, cons? Also, if I wanted to go slightly larger box (6-6.5cf) and use an AV15 is there any reason I couldn't use a slot port design instead of the PR? This would reduce cost substantially, but would there be a trade off?

Bigger cone and more Xmax from the look of the surrounds, I reckon the Tempest would easily best it.

Sure you can use an AV15, but I'd increase to port area (and the length to match) to get the port air speed lower. With 190L box, same 19" width you'd need 2.5" port height and 70cm/28" length. Assuming 1kW amp.

Fs 24Hz, port length ~70cm.
19Hz is 120cm.
