MediaMonkey and MS Vista 64

I did a search and didn't see this question addressed...

A few months ago I purchased a new computer and decided to change from RealPlayer which I had used on my old computer to something else.

I heard that people liked MediaMonkey, so purchased that.
I did read in posts that there were some early Vista/MediaMonkey incompatibilities, but the posts were from a year ago, and I thought resolved with firmware upgrades.

My problem is that when I play music eventually -- either after a few songs or many songs -- the MediaMonkey freezes up.
I can close and re-open and it works.
But highly annoying, especially when listening outside.

So, any Vista64/MediaMonkey incompatibilities?

How do I fix it?

Am I out the money for MediaMonkey?
If I just bail on it, what are suggested alternatives?

Thanks.

Setup:
CPU: Intel i7 920
RAM: 6GB
OS: MS Windows Vista Ultimate 64 version 6.0.6001 Service Pack 1 Build 6001
Soft: MediaMonkey Gold (lifetime) version 3.0.6.190

What does media monkey tech support say?

I have not loaded on my vista 64 box but I use it on Vista 32 and XP and it works great. Sorry to hear of your trouble...

I have run Media Monkey on my Vista 64bit machine for months now with almost NO crashes. sometimes it will hang up, but nothing major in the least.

maybe do a re-install?

Btw I LOVE media monkey, amazing that it can sort all your files and folders, and gotta love the FLAC playback.

Sorry I can't offer you any support on your issue but I can confirm that the free version of MediaMonkey runs perfectly fine on my system with no weird crashes.

Intel Q6600
8GB RAM
Win Vista Ultimate x64
~150GB music on a WHS share.

Thanks.
I'll try to troubleshoot a little more.
So, it doesn't seem like this is a universal issue, but potentially just specific to my case. That alone is useful information.
