I recently built a HTPC for use with my Sony KP-57WV600 (maybe 700 it's the same manual). When I connect the TV to the computer using a dual link DVI-D cable the computer does not detect that a DVI display is connected.
I've tried:
Multiple cables to make sure that it wasn't just a bad cable.
Both DVI ports on the computer.
Updating to the lastest drivers.
Connecting an audio input to the TV (I read somewhere or another that some DVI TV's don't work unless and there is a corresponding audio feed).
Unplugging the TV overnight.
Using PowerStrip to create a fake monitor. (I never figured this out and I'm not even sure it's possible but I tried it)
Some other stuff that I can't remember right now.
I've been trying to get this to work for 2 weeks now and I'm completley out of ideas. The computer is currently hooked up to a VGA monitor so I can access any settings I need might need to.
Thanks in advance
