Cambridge Newton MC300 and S300 Surround Sound Speakers

Thread Starter
Are the Cambridge Newton MC300 and S300 Surround Sound Speakers well suited for a Dolby 5.1 surround system with 100Watts per channel?

Do the speakers offer good frequency response for movie and CD audio?
I'll probably get an HSU STF-2 sub to go with the surround set-up.

Any experiences or comments appreciated.

Thanks,
Hank

How big is your room? If you're using it for a small bedroom setup, it will be sufficient. I would go 3 MC300 on the front and a pair of S300 as your surround speakers. If you're using it in a living room as your primary setup, I would consider 3 M85 bookshelves for the front and S300 for the rear. The STF-2 is a fine choice if you're using it primarily to music. For movies watching, I would start with a SVS PB10 or eD A2-300.
