I bought this unit a few years ago, it's always worked great until recently when it started having a problem with the headphone jack.
I use the headphones a lot, and it seems that after a certain number of times plugging in and out the thing started having connection issues.
Since I'm no longer under warranty I opened it up (I've got a pretty technical background, service & repair for 20 years).
The headphone jack is on a small pcb that plugs in with a ribbon cable.
The jack itself is soldered to the board, I'm thinking maybe just hitting the solder joints with a bit of heat could solve the problem.
If that doesn't solve it I'm looking for ideas - any thoughts about replacing the whole headphone jack circuit board? I called Onkyo parts and service, they just wanted a part number which I don't have. I'll pull the jack again and look to see if there is a part number screened on it.
