I tried a DVD cleaning disc I had laying around, no help
I tried using an air can to blow out any possible dust, no help
I treid unplugging the unit for 10 minutes to maybe reset it, no help
I formatted the storage, and no help
I changed all setting to auto, or default, no help
I tried the movie Priest (thought it had played before, now not sure.....) did not play
Tried X-Men Last Stand - it played
Has something changed with the latest BD discs perhaps? Gotten cheaper in materials or quality control? Or, is there a new version of JAVA that could be causing problems? I would really hate to retire this Elite player for the PS3, but if it don't play everything, it is just wasting space now. And what a shame too, as it may have been one of the LAST Pioneer players built by Pioneer!!!!!!!!
And on the note of it being an ELITE version, seeing as I bought it in December 2009 (and so not that old!!!!), it sure did not last very long!!! Compared to the Pioneer 59 AVI DVD player I had bought eons ago, sold not too long ago for still a decent price, and probably still working for the guy - this is totally not acceptable quality from Pioneer. Heck, if it were not for Blu-Ray, that 59 AVI would still be in my rack and still be working!!!!!!!! It even had the early HDMI, played SACD, and had the firewire i-Control. What a crying shame!!!!!
