i have "th-42pwd6uy" industrial model, i cant seem to find the correct stand for it anywhere, i wanted to know if anyone here know if this model stand will work with my model, it says it for the 7 and 8 series, im wondering if it will work with the 6 series, since they all look exactly the same, in design, except for newer specs

this is the stand:

The TY-ST05K is the stand choice for your Plasma.

But the TY-STPT3-K, TY-ST10M, TY-ST42PA20, TY-ST05K, TY-ST07K & TY-ST08K stands will also fit perfectly.

You're Welcome.

Yup, It's very hard to get those stands now.

About 2 years ago was much easier to find them at Ebay.
I bought two TY-ST42PA20 stands for less than $40 shipped each.

Here's a pic of the ST-42PA20 stand / Panny Commercial Display:

I was just lucky to find two ST-42PA20 Stands at Ebay from people that just wanted to dump them at any price. But the main reason for the low price was because they didn't know those stands could fit any Panasonic 37"-50" Commercial Display. Otherwise they would ask for a much higher price.

Every once in a while, you find members selling some of those stands for that reason.

There are universal tabletop stands available but I think they are still about $150 >.

Bruzzi, again, thank you for your detailed and helpful suggestions..i"ll keep searching for a cheaper stand in the meantime, like you said, someone may just post up a sale on here..I appreciate it, take care

ps: i see you are in NY.. the city?

just keep your eyes peeled on ebay, the older stands come up fairly often. Just do a regular ebay search for Panasonic TY-ST* (remember the asterisk at the end) and it will turn up anything that starts with that letter code (TY-STXXXX). Then, cross reference to Bruzzi's list and make sure it works.

Here's a link to that search string (hope it works):
http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trk...All-Categories

The stands from Panny's consumer sets won't fit your commercial unit, unfortunately, as they changed the post size so it won't seat properly. If you are patient, within a few weeks you should be able to find one of the older stands for $50 or less.

Doing a search, I see a TY-ST42PT3-K (which will fit your unit) for sale right now on ebay, $60 or best offer:

I attached a photo of what it looks like on a panny commercial display...

Hey batpig, I can't believe you're replying to this thread.
I was planning to send you a PM in the next couple days asking some questions about the Denon 2809CI.

And what a great find. Thanks for the help.

Here's another pic of the TY-ST42PT3-K Stand:

emulatorX, make an offer to the seller.

BTW: I'm in Astoria / Queens.

I can't believe I have more posts than you now Did you take a break for a while?

My Denon-expertise can not match your Panasonic-expertise, but I'll do what I can to help
post #11 of 50
$60 is a good price, I bought one about a year ago $100 with shipping but still cheaper than the ST08, lower profile I think also.

Off topic, pardon the hijack:

Batpig,

Any Denon problems switching HDMI with MOTO STBs ? seems to be the newer STBs that FIOS is using, MOTO QIP-7106 maybe ? Don't have the info in front of me at the moment.

yes, I've definitely seen video dropout / handshake complaints with Moto boxes. In fact there are two guys discussing their Moto boxes right now on the 2309 owner's thread. I don't track it by model, and I would imagine your chances of success are always better with a newer box, newer receiver, newer display all with current firmware... but who really knows? when these handshake issues occur seems to be so unpredictable, but cable boxes in general are just a huge culprit...

Yup... a long break (mostly because I spent months searching/collecting service menu codes).
Now I feel like posting again.

Tsk, Tsk, Tsk...

Some people just make me laugh so hard...

There's a guy selling an USED TY-ST08K stand at Ebay for $400 + $65 shipping.

I saw that one... look at how many "rejected" offers there are!
Just for fun, I'm going to make an offer.

EDIT: Oh crap, my 2 offers were refused.

My offer was refused as well. We should flood the dumbass with dozens of $10 offers just for having the nerve to try to get twice as much as MSRP

Since this is a thread about stands, does anyone know if the TY-ST65R2-WG stand will fit a commercial TH-65PF11UK?

Thanks!

Rich B.

Sorry but I have no experience with stands for larger Panasonic Models.

Rich, they look pretty close. The middle mount point looks different but the main posts look the same. Worth a shot, even if you have to do a little machine work.

BTW, Hi Bruzzi ! Good to see you.

Nope, will not work. Similar to many of the newer consumer stands. Post distance is the same but post shape is different and will not fit the Pro/Industrial models.
