I have a C9 with the Emittor Kit.

Does my TV have the DLP Link option as I dont like how the flash dims everything.

Also i watched a movie like Avatar in 3d and it looks nice however in scenes with a lot of movement I found it hard to follow what was going on. Felt like 3d went blurry or i just couldnt keep up. Anyone ever experience this?

I also played Uncharted 3 in 3d the other day and had to turn down the 3d effect option as it felt very blurry on the highest setting. Am I doing somethign wrong?

It not only dims but it wrecks the color balance.. On a 2009 set there is no way disable DLP Link. If 3D is is enabled so is DLP Link. The ability to disable DLP Link is a feature that doesn't happen until 2010 models.

All of you guys talk about how many hours your bulb has on it. I have a 73C9, and I dont see any option in the menu to track lamp hours. I even checked the service menu and I see nothing there either.

Hit "menu' then 2-4-7-0. It's not a lamp timer but rather for the set so if the bulb is changed you have to keep track when you changed it since there is no reset.

Something like that is happening I my set as well. I notice it during the sideline camera during nfl games. It's like the screen "oversharpens" and jitters. I turned off the auto sharpen feature and played with the settings a bit. When I compared the picture to my Samsung dlp, the screen is dimmer and colors a little washed out. I just ordered a new bulb.....hopefully that's all it is.

Reminded me I needed to check the clock.. I am at 5400 hours and I haven't had it 24 months yets.

Hey everyone, my head hurts.

I've been searching around, but can someone tell me what is the latest and greatest for 3d for the 73C9 tv?

I see the mitsu starter kits out there, but I would like to get rechargeable glasses.

Can you all share what you recommend?

I checked the clock and it had 3400 hours then. I told her and she shut right up. When I ugrade that hours in service clock is going to be very persuasive and helpful. The argument hasn't broken out yet because I am on the fence on the direction of my next set. By the time I get decided on what to buy next she can't say something about not using it enough.

It is funny, I can buy all the computers, audio gear anything I want and she never pays any attention. But when you change the TV in the living room even with her short attention span, that will be noticed. As will the $4-5k out of the checking account.

Wow,my Mits. 737 is two years old and checked yesterday the counter reads 1688 hours.

At the rate I am going I will need to do another lamp replacement by March Madness. On the big sets they really get dark at 3K hours.

No my wife watches a lot of network tv then I catch up on shows late at night. Maybe 2 or 3 movies a weekend, gaming and sports.

I guess the answer to this bulb time is multiply the number of house members . That is where the hours add up,only two here and we watch maybe 4 hours of television on an average day. I guess the good news is , I still have a good bit of life left with the original bulb.

Just picked up a used WD60C9 unit yesterday and have it hooked up with FiOS HD cable box and an Xbox 360, both over HDMI.

Both produce sound fine through the TV speakers. However, when I connect my Sony receiver to the digital coax output I only get sound through my surround sound system for the Xbox. I get no sound at all for the FiOS cable.

Any ideas as to what the problem could be?

Any help is appreciated! I look forward to owning this awesome piece of equipment for many years!

I have an old HT-4800DP. It only has stereo rca inputs for each channel, no hdmi inputs, and one optical in.

I only use it for audio.

On my old tv I ran HDMI from each device to the TV and then used the optical out of the TV to the receiver. Given that this tv only has a digital coax output, I am running that into the digital coax input on the Sony receiver (normally used for the Sony DVD player that is shipped with the system).

Try checking the FiOS boxes HDMI output setting for audio and setting that permantly to PCM. That TV cannot processe Dolby Digital via HDMI (most TVs from that year and before do not).

Because the vast majority are limited to stereo.

With your other equipment, you're better off either running them to your receiver via HDMI and then HDMI to your display (depending on the receiver), or running them to the display via HDMI and then optical to the receiver.

My TV just shut off and flashed the red light. I have never changed the bulb. Its two year old 65c9. What could it be. I was able to turn it back on and its working now but is this an issue that will haunt me?
