Marvel VS Capcom 2 Announced for Xbox Live Arcade - Page 4

I just wish CvS 2 was backwards compatible because unlike MvC 2 I did manage to procure that one for Xbox 1.

So will the background in the 16x9 area change as the game plays even though the characters can't enter it? I'll be tempted now to hook up my DC to compare and see the difference. It's just too bad there isn't a VGA or component cable that came with it. I'm thinking that I'm running out tv's that don't have S-video ports anymore.

Get the VGA adapter.

I don't have it. I doubt there are any places that would even sell that DC cable.

eBay will have it. It's called the DC VGA Box, here's one.

I have one and it works great with an old CRT monitor I have.

Be forewarned though, not all Dreamcast games can run in VGA mode.

I remember reading on the Capcom boards that it was slated for late July.
I thought they said end of July
It's probably being slipped into whatever week Microsoft had available, so it could be any Wednesday in July if it's ready.
They might as well release it on July 22nd, the same day as TMNT for the greatest XBLA release ever.
July 29th kiddies $15/1200 MS points

Definitely trying to hype it up. This game did not have a cool theme or music at all. I just saw it in the arcade yesterday and I almost want to laugh every time I hear those stupid horns. Never the less I'm still going to grab this classic up. I just wish they were going to release it 1 week earlier. I would just enough time to grab it up before I have to head back to the sandbox.
^correct. it does a poor job of hyping up. there are 4 other hype trailers but i wont bother posting them. check the July Retail Arcade and Indie Releases thread for direct video of 1 whole match.

some fighting game news:

capcom spokesperson to reporter:
"If we were to port it (tatsunoko vs capcom) to PS3 or Xbox 360 we would have to make the game from scratch, and in that case we might as well just make a sequel of the series on those consoles rather than porting it," he told the site."

Hopefully the music gets axed for "space saving purposes" because it was by far the worst music ever for a game. With Outrun a close second.
So what time is this gonna be release tonight? I'll be sure to stay up and download it right when it hits XBL
post #108 of 142
Everyone will tell you 5AM ET but in all honesty these games never come out on time so I'd say 5:20AM at the earliest. Catch some Z's now and get ready for Cable, Magneto spamming.

I'm with you brother. Whoever the music director was for this game, needs to be fired. The music sounds like it was designed around making friends with your opponent.

http://playnit.com/game-373/marvel-vs-capcom-2
i just started to add it, it may be done by noon.
Stayed up late last night to download it, it showed up on XBL website at around 2:10pm Pacific time. Played a couple games online and I'm happy to report that they were near flawless games with virtually no lag. There was some lag at character select screen but thats about it. I was so tired last time that I only played 2 games. But so far its great!
Any word on unlockable rewards for this game? I know Splosion Man had 1 or 2 rewards aside from the free theme and gamerpics.
And mostly everyone I asked except for 2 said the game plays perfect online. The good thing about this game is I doubt it'll ever die out like past XBL games.

i want the huge q-tip!

no word yet on the hip hop mix tape. everything is pointing though for a direct download from capcom-unity.com, marvel.com, tu4ar.com. heard something about itunes as well. remember, the album is free. i wouldnt doubt if it pops up on the XBLA marketplace soon though.
I would doubt if it pops up on XBL marketplace. In fact, I'd put money that it's not going up there. It sounds like it's not a plug-in for the game, just a free mixtape to download online.
So was playing a local match and someone sent me a message. So I hit the guide button and at around that time the versus screen came up and I noticed a few audio pops as I was replying to a message.

Also happens on this stage after hitting pause.

Is anyone else experiencing this... oh yeah I have the latest XBL update.
how can these people absorb these huge missiles and wolverine claws and continue to fight?
I've found that I'm not very good at this game when I'm not using my comfort characters. I'm especially bad with the Darkstalkers and Street Fighter characters.
