hdmi connection to composite

Hi all, I'm really noob at this so can someone point out if I'm doing this correctly. I have a htpc connected to my HDTV via hdmi. I also want to output the display to another tv like a master/slave setup. The HDTV has a composite output in the back but when i connected to the other TV i don't get any signal.
I wondering if i did something wrong or is this setup even possible? If not is there another way i can get it to work?

Are you certain it is a composite OUT? I've never seen an output for composite on a HDTV. In lieu of that, if you have a dual graphics output on your HTPC you can get generic dongles that pull composite from VGA, but there usually are scaling and resolution issues that are hard to work with...

If the TV has a composite output for use with a VCR the odds are that it only will provide any output when you are receiving analog TV input/video contenbt from a tuner card or from an antenna. Since you are feeding it a digtial signal it is not providing any analog composite output.

Thax for the reply yes I'm certain that its a composite output so do you have any ideas on how to make it visible on my second TV as well?

The analog out is only active when using a analog input. The TV doesn't down-convert HDMI.
