I have looked for the past few months at receivers and I keep coming back to the Denon.I'm will be hooking up a Dish Network HDDVR(VIP 722),Panasonic BD-35 Bluray and my Xbox 360(uses hd component cables).Does anyone see a problem with hooking the equipment up to the Denon? Friend of mine told me that the Panny does the decoding and that the Denon may be more than I need, didn't really give me any other choices.I just don't want to get it and find out something that makes me regret buying it.Thanks

They will have something in that price range, possibly not as good as the 1909. However, it's very possible that last years models (the 1909 will be replaced) will become cheaper when the new ones are released.

Any links/pics of the new receivers? I may wait and see if the 1909 drops in price then.

Indeed they seem to be shifting the range a little no direct replaments.

But either you will like the new models or the price of the old models will drop, seems a win-win to me to wait a few days.
