I have made some folder icons for categories:

let know what you think....
Personally, I'd like them more if the black background fills up the entire thumbnail size.

I agree, 120x180 or larger but with 0.66 aspect ratio.

I'm pretty sure you can't at the moment. I think they were created in hopes of having the ability in the future.

yes you can just open drive and create a USB1 folder and place everything in that folder along with the USB1.jpg in the same folder named folder.jpg

well, but that's not the same thing.. now you have to click twice to access your movies

where do you set the .jpg to have it show up for a folder? i put them in the same folder as the folder is in and it didnt show up.. do you have to put it inside the folder or what?
You have to rename it "folder.jpg". It needs to be inside the folder that it is intended to represent.

Hi,

do you have success with custom icon for root folder, i.e. for the drive like USB1 or USB2? On my WDTV folder icons work fine for all subfolders, but not for the root.

Thanks!

How do I customize the opening WD logo and replace it with my own logo?

Install this firmware:
http://b-rad.cc/wdlxtv

Instructions:
Custom background and screen saver images can be supplied at boot
* requires welcome_background_bg.jpg (maxsize=524288) or screen_saver.png to exist on a device attached at boot
* original screen_saver & welcome_background are supplied, in case you desire them.

I was wonder does WD HD player support pop up window. Instead in thumbnail mode, in list mode with pop up thumbnail when you have the title selected, the thumbnail will appear?

No at least not with the official firmware, haven't heard anything like that with any custom ones either.
