The Pittsburgh Penguins will launch a new HD radio channel in September, devoted specifically to the Penguins, the NHL and other hockey-related programming. "Pittsburgh Penguins Radio" will be a joint effort with Modern Rock WXDX (105.9 The X) and will be heard on 105.9 HD-2 and pittsburghpenguins.com, beginning with training camp coverage in September. The Penguins are the first pro sports team to announce their own 24/7 HD Radio channel.

Hello, I'm the Chief Engineer for Steel City Media in Pittsburgh Pa, Our station was negotiating for the contract to be the home radio network for the Pittsburgh Penguins and as a perk our VP/GM offered one of our HD channels as a perk for the Penguins to do with what they wanted. I'm glad to see CC took our idea and made it happen.

This isn't sour grapes, it's like what Paul Harvey said
"now you know, the rest of the story"

More likely, the Penguins took your perk and added it to their negotiations list when they went back to CC. That's usually how these things work. "Well, THEY offered us THIS. Can you do that? Because we really want that." You should probably smile in that your GM forced CC to do something with a subchannel they probably had other plans for.
