help me build friends home theater

My friend recently decided to build a dedicated home theater. Knowing that I frequent these forums and know a bit about it he asked me to help him pick all the AV equipment, (remote, screen, projector, speakers, receiver) so I'm asking the real home theater gurus. I don't know the exact measurements but the room is about 10 by 18. He gave me a budget of anywhere between $4000 to $6000, cheaper being better but willing to go up if needed. It'll be for %30 movies, %30 games, %35 TV (sports mostly) and %5 music.

(Oh, I also showed him masking screens for when watching movies and he loved it, I saw the Carada Masquerade masking systems for reasonable prices, does anyone know anything about them?)

Your title says "Help me build...", but yet there's no building questions/layout questions/design questions.

Did you actually mean "Help me buy stuff..."?

If so, you need to research each piece of equipment individually in the appropriate forums.

Additionally, purchasing equipment should be the last step in the process. You should concentrate on the building aspect (design, acoustic placement, wiring, lighting, etc.) first and once those steps near completion, then look into equipment.
