Hello everybody, first of all I want to say that I'm sorry for this topic since you have probably all heard the same question a trillion times, but I just need some help from people who know what they're talking about.

Anyways, I'm looking for a full HDTV to use with my PS3. I don't even need to watch regular television on it, I will just use it with my PS3, and DVD's ( Blu Rays). Plus I would like to be able to hook my computer up to my TV, because I wanna watch basketball games on it (NBA League Pass).
The TV should be about 32'' and I'm looking for something under 500 (I live in Germany, 500 would probably be about 700$).

Help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum, you'll probably want to look here since a Flat Panel LCD will most likely fill your need.

If your from Germany then you may want to look into the Phillips line of products. You can 100% ignore the IDIOTS on this forum who will be bashing them as they (incorrectly) think that all Phillips TV's are the re-branded Funai sets. In our cafeteria here in Nurnberg, we have a promotion for a 32" Phillips for around 699euro. I realize that is more than you are looking to spend but it is a good set. You will not find a lot of 32-inch sets with 1080p resolution but if you are buying it for use with a PC, I would STRONGLY urge you to get a 1080p set (even if you have to spend a bit more). The other issue with hi-resolution sets is the input port. Most laptops only have a VGA connection and no HDMI connection. If this is your case, you need to ensure that the LCD you get have a VGA port (many lower-priced ones do not). Also, you will want to ensure that the VGA port can support 1920x1080 resolution (many of the Samsungs are limited to 1600x1200 which simply is not "good enough"). LG makes an EXCELLENT 32-inch with a VGA port capable of the 1080p resolution (32LG70) that sells in your price range (Note: The "resolution" listed on that site is in error. The TV can (in fact) provide a NATIVE 1:1 resolution of 1920x1080 without any issues (It's the same as my model and my model is also listed incorrectly on that site as restricted to 1600x1200 but I am living PROOF that is in error as I run my 37LG50 daily @ 1920x1080 resolution via the VGA port). Here's a cNet review of it...

Good luck!
