My goal this summer is to create a home theater setting in our basement. With wood paneling on the walls (just attached to a wooden frame) and a linoleum floor I probably don't have the best acoustic setting. However since we are renting I don't want to put much money in upgrading the walls and floors. I will try to get a nice big area rug. My home theater we will take with us when we buy a house, hopefully in the next few years.
The speakers I am currently looking at are the Boston Accoustic VS series, within the vs series the floorstanding vs336 is a bit out of my budget with a $1699 pricetag a piece.
I was wondering if I could use the vs 260 as my front, with vs325c as center and then the vs 240 as the surrounds. But I am not sure if i can combine the vs 260 and vs 240 in one setting.
THe sub i like to add to this is the VPS 210.
(sugestions for a receiver to go with this? $1000- 1500)
This with a total pricetag of 4799.99 w/o tax is pretty much the maximum I would like to spend on a system.
Because i have no vehicle (yes ht is a bigger priority
) I have two stores that i can buy from, givin their selection of manufactures, any other suggestions for speakers I Should listen too? (within my budget)

This is basicly my first time stepping away from the htib and Although I know the brand names of the speakers and that they in the higher end, thats about it. So suggestions would be great.
