Over the past 2 months I have been reading forum after forum looking for advice for a new home theatre systems. I was interested in your thoughts on the following system. Budget is around $10,000. Australian.
AV receiver Yamaha rv3900 or Pioneer LX 71 Listening to music 60% Movies 40%.
Speakers Monitor 11's at front, cc390 centre and in ceiling speakers for rears. AMS 150R 30's. I haven't made my mind up about 5.1 vs 7.1.
I have no clue about subwoofers. It seems that whilst most people stick with the same brand for HT setups, subwoofers are in thier own league. I had been suggested a REL T1 but like the look of the R505 better.
My room is 6metres long by 4metres wide and my TV is a 166cm Samsung DLP rear pro.
As I live in country NSW finding places to demo speakers is a pain in the arse. So far I have only found 1 Paradigm dealer and I plan to see him next week. Other than that I have listened to BW 600 series and Krix phoenix speakers. Not real fussed with either of them.
I love the look of the studio 100's but they might just be out of the price range considering the price over here in OZ. ($3500).
Anyway am I on the right track. I gotta have in ceiling speakers for the rear as I already did the wiring for them when I built my house. Plus my wife doesn't want big speakers at the back.
Any help and advice would be appreciated.
