XA2 error code 2007c203

I believe this means the computer portion of your XA2 is toast. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable will contradict me?

I dont see that error code in the service manual.
Are you sure that is the correct error code.

If you do a search for error code in this forum, you will see I posted a link to the XA2 service manual which has a table of error codes.

Worst case is possibly you could service it with Toshiba, send in your $215 and get back a brand new XA2.

Thats what I had to do when the new unit I bought had the welcome bug. Sucks, but I wanted the player and dropped the 2 bills. I was very happy with Toshibas turn around time. I actually wanted a brand new unit instead of them tinkering around inside and "fixing" my unit and sending it back.

I too have this error code occassionally on my A30 and have had for about 6 months.

Does anyone have an update on this, it must be happening to others as well...

I think I remember someone fixing this problem by (re)installing firmware version 4.0 and initialize the player. To do this you must of course be able to start up the player.

It's worth a try.

You can try opening the case and using a fan to cool the XA2.
