yeah i was disappointed in the 1st one.... no conquest and the game didn't have the same feel at B2

battlefield bad company has conquest mode
post #7 of 7579
it does now, but didn't when it first came out. i hated gold rush and never played the game. i picked it back up after 1943 and love the conquest mode.

i hope they fix lag in bfbc2. cause 1 suffers horribly from it - especially when you choose quick match.
what is conquest mode? I sold this game a while ago when it just had gold rush. With how cheap the first one is now, I might pick it back up.

Its what they use in BF 1943 I believe.

to me, gold crates is the best mode you could ever have. It's like war, capture the flag and domination all in one. 2 spots you have to get to, hold, or blow up. The other team defends
post #11 of 7579
i like gold rush now, but hated it as a noob to the game (especially coming from COD). i was willing to give it a chance but none of my friends liked it, so it sat on the shelf until i got addicted to '43.

it's grown on me, but i think conquest (domination) is the easiest way to learn the game - not as chaotic.

The four BFBC2 unlocks are:

* Improved Vehicle Armor - Pretty self explanatory.
* Supreme Vehicle Firepower - Additional weapon mounts for the driver.
* Vehicle Motion Sensor - Locate enemy units in proximity to vehicle.
* Tracer Dart Pistol - Attaches to any vehicle "to track, lock on, and fire rockets onto moving targets even beyond line of sight"

The other two unlocks are from Battlefield 1943 and give soldiers the M1A1 Submachine Gun and the M1911 Pistol, which are both ... you know, guns that go pew-pew. BFBC2 launches March 2 and 5 in North America and Europe, respectively. Meanwhile, poor Battlefield 1943 has been waiting for new maps since July 20, 2009.

nice

just had a big session of bad company. This post made my day! I'm considering not buying cod and hanging on for this ya rly
post #16 of 7579
the good thing is this comes out in march - so you'll have plenty of time to play COD before it comes out.

i'm looking forward to it - looks really nice.

I have actually been playing this a bit online recently also... although I am still low in the ranks

Is this "actual" gameplay? Will there really be context and location sensitive audio responses (like when the guy acknowledges one person, and the other yells about the tank, etc.)? Also, are they going to keep that language in there? If so - awesome.

Audio responses like that are in the current Bad Company multiplayer. If somebody locates a tank, or spots a sniper it is called out in game. I think the language will probably remain but don't know for sure. My main complaint currently is that when playing multiplayer randomly nobody talks. If I am with players on my friends list we communicate well. In random matches though it seems like very few people talk. Playing silently against a group the communicates well is extremely difficult.

I'll be getting this for considerably less thanks to buying and profiting from that fail game MW2 on amazon for $20 towards your next game.

Thanks Pete.

I've noticed that as well, typically it's just my friend and I who play together who are doing any of the talking. It can be pretty frustrating when you're pinned down on a map and no-one from your team will tell you where they are, what they're seeing, or what they're trying to do.

Lame... no matter. I'm still ****ing in. I'll just connect my wired 360 to the PS3.
That is lame DICE. I have a ps3 but all multiplatform games are played on the 360. I think I'll pre-order for the ps3 to get a key and then I'll just cancel my reservation

That stinks, I am positive I'll be picking this up but have not pre-ordered yet. This would have made me jump in and pre-order, but alas I guess I'll wait awhile.

The only thing I'm hoping for is that they make it so you don't have to empty a whole clip before killing someone. It's really COD4 douche like in 1.

I'm hope they are doing the early beta for the PS3 so they can work out all the stupid voice chat faults they had with the first BFBC. That was so annoying.
I always wondered why they never fixed that busted chat system (squads). I mean, it didn't really matter to me, I usually played with one other buddy and didn't care but yes it is a broken system. Maybe they did that as to not overwhelm the servers??? I dunno lol
