^^LOL. That's funny b/c the fish sees it too! The curtains was the wife's idea. The walls are light grey and she thought blue would match with it. It would have if it weren't sheer fabric blue making it almost purple. Oh well. Btw, I would get rid of the plants and curtains all together. But that's just me.

You think that's bad, my wife has been setting **** in front of the center channel speaker for years.

That's pretty bad. I would let her put stuff around my speakers but never places where it would hinder performance. Pictures are ok. At least the wife and I agree on keeping the place "cluter free." I would have gotten floor standing speakers but then I would have to put the subs in the corners. I acutally perfer and saved alot of space by putting the speakers on the wall. This way I can have all my a/v stuff in one area.

That is cool, seeing HK's setup, why don't you fellas post all of yours.

Fortunately, my wife is a geek like me and understands the finer points of speaker calibration and projectors. It took about 5 years to get her to this point though!

At least she walked the path and made it to the other side, my ex wife wouldn't even look at the path.

Went 8-20, 6-25 last night. Could not get a kill for the life of me. That's living proof that a bigger tv doesn't make you a better player.

you just need to get used to it. I've found that having a bigger TV is nice for sniping/pinpoint accuracy. The negative is that every little move on the stick moves you much more than you're used to.

I also highly recommend directly plugging your xbox360 into the TV rather than connecting via receiver. Seems to help me with less lag, which is important since I'm on a projector and therefore have some inherent lag. So I have HDMI straight to a projector port and then audio via optical to my x41 headphone transmitter to my reciever.

Also, I have tried playing some more BC2 on PC and am disliking it a lot. Just too hard to move and WHY do they have to put the get in/get out key (E) next to the move forward key (W) and the raise elevation key (R)?! I keep hitting E by accident and jumping out instead of moving forward. Normally not a big deal but if you're airborne or using the UAV, forget it.

I have been wanting to do that but just dont have the energy to do it.

You'll be amazed at how much better games are with as few lag-inducing connections as possible.

BTW, I bought my budget TV today! Samsung PN51D450 HDTV from hhgregg for $500!

BBTW, I also talked the wife into buying a Gears of War 3 edition 360, since we were planning on getting one anyway and Target had one in stock still with a $40 gift card. And I just happened to borrow a second disc of BC2. It's all starting to come together now!

While I'm excited for BF3 coming out, going to miss playing this game I'm sure. Definitely the most time I've ever put in any game in my long gaming career, and probably the most fun I've had with a single game. I mean as someone said before it's amazing that we've been playing this game for a year and half and still have fun playing and continue to try and see new things.

Yeah it's definitely amazing that you guys have been playing as long as you have, and are as good as you are, and there are still things that you learn and/or are not sure about. It really shows how deep the game is.

Got back into BC2 last night with the wife. She's non-VIP, so we were playing with ranks 23 and below. Felt good to get back into it again. Went 48-24, running from spot to spot while the rest of the team kept getting mowed down like sheep. Seriously - even this rank 20 guy kept getting killed. By now you'd think the person would know the maps!

Wife got her first kill last night. She was very excited. She also got her first MCOM disarm. Only took her 15 minutes but hey she's tryin' .

Duke found out that you can repair the UAV station and bring life back to the UAV. Didn't know that.

Played some BC2 last night and had some fun on regular mode. Tried out Vietnam again & didn't really enjoy it. Seems like its extremely sniper heavy, even more so than it used to be. Having one shot kill sniper rifles will do that for a game though.

btw, someone posted a video showing a guy shooting at enemies and spamming the aim button as he fired. Is this a tactic everyone else knows about or is this something new?

If there's an aim-assist mode (can't remember, if there is I would have turned it off) then doing that would snap you on to the other player - like aim assist in COD singleplayer.

Anyone else have trouble le connecting with EA servers?? Been hit or miss lately. More so miss for me.

So I jump online with BC2 last night. It had been a LONG time since I have played this game. Wow, what a blast! I forgot how fun this game is. I really cant wait for BF3 now.

I tried to join PJ, but it said I couldnt connect to the EA servers. Is this common or did I just happen to be on when they are having issues?

Looked into joining, but "the crew" was in a full party of 8. Switched over to Ace Combat instead

There is an aim assist mode in BC2 but there's no "snap-to-target" function. It lowers the sensitivity of your motion while your crosshairs are on a target, so you're less likely to leave them once you're ON them. Given the lack of precision controllers have compared to mice, I think this is a good compromise and not frankly, what I see as easy mode - snap-to-target.

This zoom in zoom out thing is something I do occasionally due to my LOW (default) sensitivity. It allows me to aim down sight at close range, while being able to move the crosshair much faster than if I was aiming down sight constantly. I don't know what else it could be used for effectively though.

Also...about that UAV thing. How is it none of us knew this o_O

BC2 - Things you didn't know but now you do.
-Three 870 shots takes out the rider and ATV.
-Repair UAV station repairs UAV.
