"V" on ABC HD - Page 59

Quite franky I was surprised they got a second season to begin with. The first season was not very good and they really didn't improve the product with the second season. Interestingly enough they may have just turned the corner with the "cliff hanger".

SGU on the other hand I thought did great work with the second season. That show will be missed.

The Event is worth keeping just to see if the could improve it in the second year. Part of it I love and others I just don't buy.

Event got canned too.

Upcoming season I'm going to DVR any new series I am interested in and not watching it until it gets renewed for season 2. It's a waste of time to invest 8-16 episdoes in only to find it's done.

But the event is being shopped around so there is still hope for a second season.

All television watching is a waste of time, You have to appreciate what you get when you get it. TV is fun and there is no purpose to other than to sell you advertising. So get over feeling bad when the show doesn't go on. All shows end. Some 1 episode, some 20 years worth.

We'd at least like to see some closure .. I mean, last episode they were "blissing" Planet Earth .. that was at least a pretty good cliffhanger .. just a wrap up 2 hour final would have been nice ..

Agree. "Lights Out" on FX was short-lived (1-season) but I enjoyed it and glad I watched it. I actually probably got more out of it than I did in 2 seasons of "V".

I guess the cancellation made my decision easier whether to continue with "V". I don't mind cutting bait on a show as my leisure/viewing time is limited. I think I got through 8-9 episodes of "Flash Forward" and 4-5 episodes of "The Event" before I kicked those to the curb, and not an ounce of regret.

It is a shame that better quality (smarter, more realistic) serialized sci-fi TV doesn't exist. I bet I would've liked "Lost" but it came out a year before I had a DVR and I was too late to the party.

They would screw that up too. No confidence in the writers of this show.

Well, a good writer is tough to find on material like this .. that's why Joss Whedon stays super busy and makes the major money ..

All I'm asking for is a wrap up of some sort ..

Well, glad I waited to watch each season until it comes out on DVD. I hear there are a lot of loose ends to tie up. It's been so long since I watched Season 1, I don't care now. But it does leave a bitter taste to invest in a show and have it canned. Three this year for me were V, The Event, and Off the Map.

In my case, the three were V, Human Target, and Chicago Code.

At least you got an ending you can live with on Human Target though.

All this show canceling is going to cause me to lose interest in tv watching thus increasing the life span on my Kuro! Gotta find those silver lining anyway you can...Detroit 1-8-7 is out as well?

Yep, all my network shows are getting canceled. Well, there's still Fringe. Thank goodness that survived the knife. I find most of the shows I watch are on the cable channels. I never really thought about that until now. Well, I'm off to watch tonights The Event.

Looks like we'll get a pretty good wrap-up ending to Chicago Code next week.

1984 must of been a good year. She is the third 'TV honey' that was born in that year between here and in The Event.
