hey guys,
one of my NEC LCD2180UX LCD monitors needs some TLC. it doesnt display and video output of any kind, weather it is hooked to a video signal or not. no OSD etc..
Everything else works on it, buttons, inverter, screen etc... I turn it on and the backlights light the panel up but there is no display on the panel, I have this problem with a LCD2190UXP as well but I have a working LCD2180UX, and would like the other one to work so I can do a dual monitor setup with it and get rid of this crappy Dell 2001FP.
NEC only tells me that it needs to be serviced, and its out of warranty. I am more than tech savvy with LCD displays so if someone here has a clue as to what is wrong with this monitor I would appriciate it! I just need to know what the possible problem would be ( and no its not the video logic board, PSU, inverter, or backlights, those have been checked and replaced).
I would say the LCD panel, but i cant beleive that it would just die. it otherwise is perfect....
