New Samsung software got loaded onto mine along with the ODN update... I'm gonna forego my preventative reboots for a while and see if either update has any bearing on the "Channel not available" record failures that seem to be Charlotte & NYC only issues.
I also noted last night that the behavior of the digital audio outputs changed with the update... previously, unlike the Cisco boxes, the digital and HDMI outputs actually WERE variable when the box was set to variable out... now they are fixed. I really don't care about that... they should be fixed IMO.
What also changed that I do care about was that, previously, even if the output was set to fixed, the mute function still worked on the digital outputs, which I took advantage of to activate closed captioning during mute (I just mapped the mute button on my Harmony to box instead of the AVR). Last night I noticed that I no longer had a functioning mute. However, I also discovered that if you set the audio output to variable, even though the digital/HDMI outputs no longer are variable, the mute function still works. So all I had to do was set the output to variable and I had the exact same situation as I used to with it set to fixed.
