PanzerBoxb is right, I'm using the MediaMall software and their plugins
, most of which work great.
I eliminated my HTPC with two components; the BD390
, and ACRyan's PlayOn!HD.
Netflix stream is low rez via PC, so the BD390 is for Blu-ray, DVD, Netflix(high-rez) and Youtube. It also has CinemaNow and Vudu(next month), but I don't use those. For everything else, I use the PO!HD.
At first I was disappointed with the PQ, it was a little softer than the WDTV, but after I increased the contrast from 25 to 30, I was able to adjust the picture so it was spot on, for my eyes anyway.
I added the HDD to the PO!HD, installed MediaMall, and now everything works great. I should add, I'm using a very simple UPnP. PC/router to PO!HD via wired Cat5e cable. In McAfee, I allowed full access for MediaMalls server, and the PC network discovery picked up the PO!HD right away. Then I ran into a slight glitch, Hulu wasn't working the next day. The simple workaround is to open Internet Properties and delete all browsing history. Additionally I opened and logged into Hulu on my PC, after that everything worked great again.
One other thing, in MediaMall and in Hulu , both have to be set at High Rez. If either one isn't, it will stream at 360 instead of 480.
edit: Another observation with hulu, movies are hit and miss. I don't use it for movies except documentaries and they seem to work fine while other movie formats don't.
