I'm having a really tough time deciding which one to get. Is the image quality difference even noticeable? Also, I rarely use 120hz...only for sports. I use the tv mainly for blu-ray viewing. Or should I look at other tvs in the same price range?
If you are in NYC, the Best Buy on 23rd st in Man. has these two sets next to each other.
In my opinion I couldn't tell any diff. between the 2. This also seems to be the unofficial consensus between forum members, and cnet too- but dont take my word or anyone else, best thing is to try and look urself. Good luck.
Well, I went with the LN55B650. I bought a open box display model at Fry's that has been up for a month. The sale price was $2099, minus $200 for the open box discount, minus $200 for the special samsung discount. So I paid $1699. I couldn't resist.

So with tax it came out close to 1830ish? Pretty good deal though I personally wouldn't buy an open box item. I read another post where a guy bought an open box and had issues with it and Samsung refused to help him.
Well, I'm surprised they sold a display model that is only a few months old. I thought they don't sell the display models until the newer models come out.
They had two of them on display, so one of them had to be sold. I usually wouldn't buy a display either but since it was so new, I also got the 5 year warranty too, so i'm covered.
