Hello Everyone
I just got the Onkyo SR607 with the HDMI out cable leading to the my Panasonic TH-50phd8 Plasma TV.
I have a Samsung BD player (BD-P1600) is connected to HDMI port 1.
I get audio but no video except at the very start when the BD is turned on, the splash screen shows quickly and then goes away. From then on I hear the audio but nothing but a black screen.
The xbox 360 that is connected to hdmi port 4 and it kind of works.
If I turn on the xbox before the receiver, it displays in 1024X768 without sound
If the receiver is turned on first, it displays 480p with sound.
I can't seem to get it to 1080i or even 720p
Steps I've taken to trouble shoot
Connected the BD player directly to the Plasma and it works fine in all resolutions except 1080p. So I know it's not the BD player.
Xbox the same thing
Swapped HDMI cables around into the TV and they all work also.
All the inputs on the Onkyo setup are correct. I have HDMI setup on 1 for BD and 4 for the Xbox. Everything else is ----
I have no component or digital so those are turned off.
Tried changing the video on the correct source but with the HDMI connected, it says not available.
This leads me to believe it's a problem with the Onkyo and I just don't know what else to try. It almost seems like it's trying to force a 1080p to the plasma and the plasma won't accept it.
Im hoping someone here can help me before I turn it into a boat anchor
