Maybe there's a correlations between money spent and quality of product.

My opinion on Gladiator has deteriorated over the years as many movies begin to show their flaws as better movies of the genre emerge. Having said that, Gladiator was very good at release and is still a watchable movie in my opinion.

There has been some good ones and some not so good.

I believe some around here with a "negative" opinion of Gladiator feel threatened uncomfortable watching sweaty scantily clad men grappling on the ground.
I guess some are just more sensitive to that kind of thing than others....

Some of these are pretty crappy, but the only one that gives Gladiator a run for its money is Battlefield Earth, IMO. I might concede that Gladiator is tied with that one for worst movie of 2000. Fair?

I think The 6th Day is fun in a guilty pleasure way. And M:I-2 isn't quite so bad if you pretend that it's not a Mission: Impossible sequel and is just a John Woo action flick.

We simply don't have enough info on the exact plot to make an intelligent deduction yet....

Jesus, that's gotta be the best plot I've ever read. Unseen planets and universes is so dreamy. And to think it will be directed by RS who pioneered this genre with alien will make it #1 must see of 2012 or decade for that matter. Just hope it's at least 3 hours long with many sequels, any deep space travel film and esp of that magnitude just makes me hornier than a rabbit.
