Mods, please move this thread if it is in the wrong forum. I got this TV as a gift a couple of months ago. I am running Comcast cable out of a HD DVR box. It is hooked up with cheap HDMI which I bought on buy.com.
When I turn the TV and cable box on, the TV will have a blue screen saying "no signal found", even though the box is turned on. It says no signal for roughly 8 seconds, then finally there is a one second flash of the cable channel. It goes back to the "no signal" screen for another second or two, and then the cable finally comes on.
Has anyone else had this problem? I know cheap HDMIs are good, but maybe this particular one is poorly constructed? I don't yet have a BD player or anything else I can hook up to the TV with HDMI, so I don't know whether it is the TV, the HDMI, or the box. I had no problems with a delay on the cable box when I was running it on an old CRT (on composite cables). Is this possibly a setting which can be adjusted on the TV? The inlaws who bought me the TV have the older version, and there is no delay at all on it.
