Choosing a two zone reciever

Hey, so i have looked around everywhere trying to find a receiver...

I am looking for a fairly inexpensive 2 zone receiver to put in the new construction of my house. I would like to have ceiling speakers around the house to listen to. I don't want it to be a surround sound or any of that. i just want a good two zone receiver... Preferably without having to have a second amp because that just sounds expensive have you have to have volume controls for every room and so on. I am probably going to use a harmony 890 remote so i don't have to be in the same room as the receiver so controlling volume from anywhere wont be a problem.

i was looking at the Onkyo TX-8555 but that looks like i have to have a second amp for zone two. If i have to use a amp for whatever receiver is there actually a inexpensive amp that you guys would recommend? i cant really find any... plus with the amp i would have volume controls on the amp aswell so it would defeat the purpose of the 890...

I could really use the help so thank you in advance!

A second zone on most 7.1 receivers will use the amps for the surround rear zones. While you can hook up speakers using an impedance matching speaker box, there's going to be a limit to how many speakers you can reasonably power. I have no idea what that limit is.

How many ceiling speakers do you want to power from your second zone.

Well im thinking they are going to be the outside speakers, so maybe 4 im thinking.

and is it possible to run the same source through both zones so maybe sometimes they are something different and sometimes they are all playing the same thing?

Only the analog inputs can be selected for Zone 2.
