Interesting. I can honestly say that I may be your polar opposite.

^ Just that I'm not a big TC fan and I certainly don't EVER look forward to his next job....Least of all Top Gun 2.

LOL!

I do like Tom Cruise btw. Knight & Day was a funny little action comedy that didn't get the attention it deserved, but again that's just me. While Sandler and Rogen garbage still pack theaters, I'll take any Tom Cruise movie over that kind of crap any day.

I think M:I 4 will be great. THANK GOODNESS no 3D!!

Back in 2007, Warner Bros. attached the stellar opening scene from Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight to IMAX prints of I Am Legend. Now it appears that the studio may be doing something similar with The Dark Knight Rises this holiday season. A trusted source has informed /Film that an eight minute prologue to The Dark Knight Rises will be attached to the IMAX prints of Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. This is exciting for a multitude of reasons. First of all, if it turns out to be true, this means that the first eight minutes of The Dark Knight Rises were shot in IMAX. We already knew that Nolan and his cinematographer Wally Pfister were planning on shooting a great deal of the film in IMAX, but this confirmation is all the more enticing.

Additionally, the Brad Bird-directed Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol is opening on IMAX screens on December 16th, a full five days before its wide release. The exclusive IMAX engagement now appears to be a very smart move given this Dark Knight Rises news. Warner Bros. declined to comment on the story when reached for contact, so this could all end up being a rumor, but the prologue attachment makes a good deal of sense. Here’s hoping for the best.

This puppy def looks like it's back on track minus the silly party of 5 theme from JJ abrams...the adventure, the coolness, the action that was missing in the last one and more in line with john woo's version. Watching this trailer I can't help thinking why they didn't give The avengers to brad bird who knows a thing about action and cool.

He's waaaaay too much of a control freak for something like The Avengers.

However, that trailer is pretty badass. Though I have a strange mixture of sheer awe and annoyance at Cruise's ability to go "Hey!--look at how many stunts I can do!"

Also, Cruise running away from something is one of the most annoying movie cliches right behind Tommy Lee Jones proving yet again that he can speak Spanish.
Wow... apparently Cruise did the whole building scene himself.

Search YouTube and you can find amateur recordings of him doing the stunts and dangling from the safety ropes and stuff. Pretty insane.

So far 25 positive, 2 neg - 93% RT compilation. This movie should rock for all kids-adults and could be best film of 2011...certainly best action with epic lackluster from blockbusters as cowboys & aliens, Super 8 and Dark of the moon.

Surprised there's not more chatter on this... considering the stellar reviews and overall awesomeness. There've been a lot of "best in the franchise" quotes about it. I'm a fan of the first one so I doubt I'll prefer this one over it, but I'm sure I'll be pleased regardless.

I'm debating which format to watch it in. There's an RPX theater I've been meaning to check out, and is getting the early release date. Don't know how that would compare to IMAX though.

still looks pretty sick to me..wife and boys even want to see it and we arent even big MI fans..its a must see for me..Tom Cruise gets better and better..

Because of the last two movies.

Last one was awesome. But Cruise is now hated by a large portion of the populace.

heaven forbid he jumps on a couch from happiness and then speaks out about his religion. People make me sick judging others. Thats all he's ever really done and the "populace" is ready to condemn him to death..I like the guy and he comes off as extremely nice, helpful and NOT scared to speak about what he believes in..

Uh, yeah. Ok.
